"Ambivalence" is a 2D Mixed Media, including acrylic, made on birch wood cradles and layered with resin epoxy.
It is a diptych, which means that it is two separate paintings made on two individual wood cradles which, once put together side by side create one of a kind piece of art. It is considered one painting even if it is composed of two elements.
I designed the two panels to have one horizontal and one vertical, connected by a little touch.
Each panel is 40"x60"x"1.5" which makes a global piece of 120"x80"x1.5" dimensions.
The edges of the painting are not treated-birch wood (like the panel itself) to give a natural effect to the piece, in opposition to the very worked main surface that is covered with resin epoxy as a varnish. The resin gives a shiny and glossy look and the entire composition gives the painting a modern, sleek, and mysterious enchanting look. My signature is on the side of the panel.
